WHAT WE TREAT

Chronic muscle tightness Sciatica & nerve pain Tension & migraine headaches Myofascial trigger points Tennis & golfer's elbow Plantar fasciitis Frozen shoulder Chronic low back pain
HOW IT WORKS

What to Expect

A calm, controlled treatment — most people find it far more comfortable than they expect.

1

Assessment

Your practitioner identifies the muscles and trigger points driving your pain, and confirms acupuncture/IMS is the right fit.

2

Needle Placement

Fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at specific points — most people feel only a brief sensation, if anything at all.

3

Rest & Release

Needles remain in place for a short period while your muscles release tension, often with a noticeable feeling of relief.

4

Combined Care

Often paired with manual therapy or exercise in the same visit for a more complete, longer-lasting result.

FAQ

Common Questions

Does acupuncture or IMS hurt?

Most people feel little to no discomfort — sometimes a brief muscle twitch or dull ache at the point, which fades quickly. Needles are much finer than injection needles.

What's the difference between acupuncture and IMS?

Traditional acupuncture follows meridian-based points; IMS is a Western medical approach targeting specific tight muscle bands and trigger points related to nerve irritation.

Is it covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans include acupuncture coverage. We'll confirm your coverage and offer direct billing where available.

How many sessions will I need?

Some people feel relief after one session; chronic issues typically benefit from a short series. Your practitioner will discuss a plan after your first visit.
